It took almost two years for various operators to obtain the necessary licences and develop the best software that will allow citizens to participate in different types of gambling.
Three gambling venues have already tested their online casino platforms and went public earlier this month: SugarHouse, Hollywood (Penn National), and Parx. Dozens of additional venues plan on acquiring the necessary documents to allow online gambling, but it is still unclear when they will be joining the gambling market.
Operators had to pay an astounding amount of $10 million to get separate licences for online slots, casino games, and online poker. Even though the amount of cash they had to invest is astronomical, the establishments should be able to cover their expenses in little time.
It should be noted that Parx has video poker on offer, but live casino games aren’t available yet.
Since the software still needs to undergo some reviewing, the gambling venue will provide the live dealer casino games at a later date. At this moment in time, the casino can only be accessed via Android smartphones, Mac devices, and computers. Apple hasn’t approved for the casinos to run on iPhones and iPads, but it shouldn’t be long before you can access all casino games via any mobile phone.

Pennsylvania is not the only state that strives to turn online gambling into a legitimate source of income.
Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, and even New York are all working towards legalizing online casinos.
